Bi-Annual Check-ups for Healthy DogsWe understand that you have a busy life. When it’s time for your dog’s twice-yearly check-up, we are available to examine your dog from by making appointments during our regular business hours. In order to meet our mission of emphasizing convenience, we also offer drop off appointments through our Pet Drop Off Concierge Service that allows you to leave your dog with us and we’ll call you when they are ready to be picked up.
Our bi-annual wellness exam appointments go over the following items: Comprehensive Physical Exam from head to tail Vaccinations necessary to protect your dog based on their lifestyle Bi-annual Heartworm Testing Bi-annual Intestinal Parasite Screens Discussion of needed heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives to protect your pet from parasites Nutrition management
Before we administer any vaccinations, we do require that all dogs undergo a physical examination. We take your pet’s health seriously and keep thorough records to ensure that your pet gets consistent care with each and every visit. Puppy Services offered at VETsmart Animal Hospital are: Comprehensive physical exam at the 6 week, 9 week, 12 week and 16 week visits Selection of vaccinations that will protect your pet against – Distemper, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis, Bordetella, and Rabies Intestinal Parasite screens checking for roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, giardia, and coccidia Regular deworming at 3 week intervals Discussion of behavior training, wellness care, as well as the best heartworm and flea and tick combination for your pet’s needs. Adult/Senior Preventive Care
Adult patients (1-7 years) and Senior patients (>7 years) should be examined by our veterinarian twice yearly to ensure a high quality of life for your pet.
